Founded in Birmingham, Alabama in 1980 by Danny Taylor, Al Latta and Jim Wagstaff, WTA quickly recognized that almost anyone could furnish doors and hardware. They also recognized that it would take a total commitment to quality and service to separate them from the pack, and they dedicated themselves to that philosophy. “We exist to create and keep customers”.
    The past 38 years have brought many changes to the company. We have seen sales up to 13 million annually. Employees now number in the thirties. State of the art technology has been installed and is operational. New facilities have been built and new equipment has been put in place.
    In 2012 when Mr. Taylor retired the company was purchased by a longtime employee and shareholder, Ms. Sherry Bishop.  Since then, Sherry and Al along with other Leadership Team Members have helped shape the culture and future of the company as a whole for the next generation here at WTA.  Through all of this growth and change, WTA still believes in the philosophy of working to create and keep customers.
